The Run

You’ve changed they say,
And there’s nothing wrong with it,
I thought.
Change to fly, and not fall,
Change to resist evil, embrace good,
Change to love, than to hate,
Change to be stoic, when everyone around you is running.
Running to reach somewhere,
Realizing, the run has a place in his heart nowhere.
Just to show, just to reach,
He runs a race and repeats.
He stomps, he fails,
He grows old, he grows wise.
A change to live, than to race,
A change to relish, than to chase,
Is all he wants, is all he cares.
